4 Simple Ways to Make Today Count

Today could be your last, but it could also be the first of thousands of more days! There are many simple ways to make every day a good day regardless of the circumstances or conditions you face. Try at least one of the 4 ways below, and enjoy your opportunity!

Here are 4 Simple Ways to Make Today Count

  1. Find Inspiration — Inspiration is all around you every single day. There is something in your immediate surrounding that has a lot of beauty. Do you see it? It could be an object. It could be the person next to you. It could be a pet. It may be a plant. Find it NOW! Observe it, and try to find something about it that will enhance your day. If you find that to be hard, no worries.
  2. Show Gratitude for as Many Things as You Can — Do this 3 times a day: in the morning, at lunch, and before you go to bed. For beginners, think about something really good that has happened to you OR that you want to happen to you. Be grateful for that good thing whether it has happened or not. For a more advanced gratitude exercise, think about the worst thing that has happened to you today. Try to find something to be grateful about in it. It may be hard initially, but the more you practice, the easier it will become.
  3. Compliment Someone — Your words could potentially brighten the day of a friend, family member, or stranger. Compliments don’t cost us anything, but they have the ability to completely empower another individual. Do you think someone has a beautiful smile? Tell them that! Perhaps they’ll smile even more! Never forget: the more you give, the more you receive! So don’t be surprised if people start complimenting you more!
  4. Tell yourself How Awesome You Are — You are an amazing person with an unlimited potential for happiness and joy! There are so many things about you that are unique. Embrace your uniqueness. Be proud to be you. Regardless of your past and regardless of what you have been through and told, the truth is that you’re awesome. By simply telling yourself that you are awesome, you will eventually begin to feel awesome. Tell yourself that at least three times daily, right after you show your gratitude.

Making Everyday Count is a Part of the Dream Life

Wouldn’t you agree that if you can find something good in the ‘bad’ things that occur throughout your day that your ‘bad’ days would actually be good days?
