Retrospective Project 2
Project 2 was creating a feature for Meetup’s app. We were able to meet with Meetup’s design team, and sit in on a design meeting. It was incredibly informative because orginally our goal was to introduce Venue’s as a third member of Meetup- in addition to Organizers, and meetup group members. The team from Meetup made it very clear to us that they are not a location database, and are not in the position, or have the interest to become a location database. We changed our user being the organizer only.

Strengths of my group: Joscelyn’s editing skills- she’s very good at editing and not putting everything in. Sandra’s ability to talk to any and all people for holding user interviews and testing.
Lessons learned: Document- film users testing. Film user interviews. Film and document more!
Need to wire frame in low fidelity bc branding existed skipped gray scale.
Jumped from low paper to medium hi- w/ out copy to high.
Need to spend more time on low fidelity.
The importance of Moscow. To really hone in on our mvp. Made it easy!
The importance of being agile- being able to pivot quickly and change direction- happened after meeting with Meetup- learned more about business.
Group work. This project was a good reminder of the importance of the buy in of every group member. We had a little disconnect in the second week due to a lack of communicating. At some point- I believe it was after we pivoted on Friday after meeting with the design team at Meetup. I felt a bit rushed on Monday and Tuesday to come up with a new plan of action- After doing all the work-mapping, and MOSCOW- the idea clicked. And I don’t know if everyone in the group understood- or came to the same conclusion. It helped for us to sit down and review our goal and our user. Below is how we talked out where we were in the project and we were able to refocus everyone on the team to be on the same page and working toward the same goal.
