Is there a repo with the source form this article in a working form available?

There isn’t. Webpack is so tough because too little configuration and it’s overwhelming to fill in the blanks yourself; too much configuration and it’s probably pointed in a completely different direction from where you want your project to go! I didn’t want to make a repo because I only wanted to help people with rough concepts, and not a starter project.

For some good examples of Webpack-based starter projects, check out Next.js and React Starter Kit.

IMO it’s better to first figure out what front-end stack you want to get out of Webpack (e.g.: I need Typescript + Sass + React + RxJs + CSS Modules). And then after you’ve decided, try and find how to bring each layer of your stack into Webpack, one-by-one.
