Bitcoin is not distributed equally
Blocklist publishes a distribution sheet of Bitcoin.
Is Bitcoin going to level the playing field and create more economic equality? Not if we look at it through the lens of wealth distribution.
Distribution of Bitcoin wealth mirrors that of global wealth.
To be in the top 1% of Bitcoin holders today, you need 15 Bitcoins (~$65,580).
To be in the top 10% of Bitcoin holders today, you need 1.28 Bitcoins (~$4,372).
Bitcoin may create new wealth, but that wealth will be concentrated similarly to global wealth today. Same, but different.
