In this case- and for the case of the 2020 election, it feels as though Facebook and Twitter (first I guess) just need to hit the pause button on politics. I think that Dorsey and Co. can see that this problem won’t be solved by the current Congress’ regulations, even though Zuckerberg all but begged for Congress to regulate them. It won’t happen fast enough this go-round.

I see no absolute good at all by Facebook permitting political ads- at this time. I get my ads from YouTube TV, which is not regulated like cable channels are, and if the big donors want to spend political cash on Network TV- I’ll miss out on those entirely.
