7 Things You Need To Know About The Audi A7
The new 2019 Audi A7 is a masterpiece in its own right. This jewel of German luxury is an excellent choice for anyone looking to quickly cover hundreds of miles in comfort and style. If you need more convincing, the following points will help you out.
SPECS
The Audi A7 is available with only one petrol engine choice at the moment, the 50 TFSI, a not too shabby 3 litre V6 engine pumping out 340HP. Mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, the A7 will do 0–62mph in an acceptable 5.3 seconds, and is electronically limited to a top speed of 155mph. The A7 comes standard with Audi’s legendary Quattro four-wheel drive system. The A7 can also be powered by two 3 litre diesel engines: The 45 TDI making 231HP or the 50 TDI making 286HP. The diesel options are only available with the eight-speed single clutch transmission.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
The A7 is designed for an effortless driving experience. The optional air suspension cushions you as you cruise down the road, ironing out all the bumps in your path. The steering is easy to control with minimal effort. The tranquility of the cabin is only interrupted by the growl of the engine when you plant your foot.
FUTURISTIC CABIN
The A7 continues to get outstanding feedback about its cabin. Modern and sleek, it shows you that the future of tomorrow can be here today, if you are willing to pay enough. It feels and looks simple, but discreetly holds a lot of advanced technology. NASA went to the moon in the 1960’s with the computing power of today’s calculators. I wonder what they could have done with this thing.
IT LOOKS AMAZING
With its fancy LED headlights, single light bar for the rear tail lights, and its broad grill, the A7 has an aggressive stance like no other. The Sportback styling really makes the car look sexy and fast. It is a great combination of sharp edges and smooth lines. If you do not believe me, take a look at these images below.

PRACTICALITY
The A7’s boot has more than enough storage space and is easily accessible with its lift-back tailgate. To be precise, it can hold 535 litres with a maximum capacity of 1,390 litres with the rear seats folded down. Although it does have a lot of space for storage, it may be lacking in the comfort department for rear passengers. As it is a Sportback, the sloping roof can cut off a huge chunk of headroom for taller passengers.
ANNOYING QUIRKS
Every car has a few annoying quirks and the A7 is no exception. If the trunk needs to be fully filled, the load covers have to be removed. Although this does not sound like a big issue, there is no clear storage location for these detached covers. That shiny, futuristic interior? All those black surfaces show every single scratch, mark, and fingerprint. Finally, the beautiful sloping roofline and shape of the rear doors means that those rear windows can only roll down halfway.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Ending on a positive note, the Audi has some often overlooked features that really show it is great attention to detail. The A7 has wonderful digital climate controls in the rear, intuitive conversational voice commands, and best of all, when unlocking the car, the headlights put on a little show!
And that is it! What do you think of the Audi A7? Let me know in the comments!
