Zero Motorcycles: the market leaders in the E-Bike industry have appointed 3 more dealers in the UK to sell their 6 bike range of EVs, all designed and built in California.

On top of Zero’s current network of franchisees, they selected PGH Motorcycles in Torquay, Witham-based Cannon Motorcycles and Amped Motorcycles of Cardiff bringing their total to 10 within the U.K. With Zero’s registrations up 273% on new bikes already for this year, the 3 new appointments to join Zero’s silent band wagon can only aid growth.

We asked Drew Stoodley, owner of Amped Motorcycles-Cardiff his thoughts on the E-Bike market and why its so rapidly gaining popularity: “We are really excited about our new relationship with Zero, they create incredible quality bikes and they are very VERY impressive motorcycles to ride. The acceleration and instant torque these things chuck out is insane, along with how smooth the ride is it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced on any ICE vehicle. There’s no clutch, no gear lever, you just simply twist and go… When most people hear twist and go, an instinctive comparison will be made to a scooter and whilst correct, a scooter will not rip your face off under hard acceleration. We’ve found a lot more people are wanting to learn to ride on these as they are just so easy and there are various Brands out there with models suitable for ages 16+.”

Whilst being easy and great fun to ride, Drew also explained that there are many financial benefits to be enjoyed too: “The total cost of ownership is also a huge draw, no petrol, no tax, no services to fork out for and a cost of typically a penny a mile to ride. These bikes are not gimmicks, they can be used AND ENJOYED in the real world and if you’re even a tiny bit curious or want to ride one just to justify how your bike is better then I strongly suggest taking a test ride at one of your local dealers.” One of said dealers, in the link below.

Whether or not you are a fan of EVs or not, saying they are the future is not only a cliché, but it is wrong. They’re very much the here and now.
