As human beings, we are capable of great good but equally, we can create conflict and horror and be bad. This is the choice we have in life. It’s like having two personalities. Caine and Abel the great biblical story from our historic ancestors teach us a man is capable of both good and evil. Emotionally, Evil manifests itself as anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. In contrast, good is experienced emotionally as joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, truth, compassion, and faith. Everything you encounter may be interpreted as good or evil and these interpretations will affect the person you become and the quality of your life you experience.

It is well-known among clinical psychologists, that negative emotions (Evil) will destroy your life because it creates unbearable suffering, chaos, and disorder. It is the root cause of stress, anxiety, and depression. In contrast, Positive emotions (Good) dramatically reduce your suffering in life and increase your proclivity to have a stress-tolerant healthy existence. The antidote to suffering is to be able to regulate positive emotions. Positive emotions are experienced by people who have a purpose and meaning. To have the meaning you need to set an inspiring goal that gets you out of bed in the morning. Everyone who wants a successful purposeful life needs something inspiring to aim at. If you understand this wisdom, you will understand everything. Certain daily rituals reduce the chaos created by an evil mindset (negative emotions). People who succeed and do great things in their lives have exceptional daily rituals that intentionally create positive emotions. I have found through my experiences that the recipe for a successful and healthy life is predicated on the following behaviours that must be repeated as often as possible.

1. Have eight hours of sleep every day, 2. Have 3 to 5 nutritious meals every day, 3. Exercise every day, 4. Have a moment in the day for peaceful meditation, 5. Have a goal that aims to make your life better, 6. Have an awareness of your purpose and meaning, 7. Do an activity that connects you with your purpose, 8. Have conversations with people who value you, 9. Have a moment that connects you with someone you love, 10. Have a meditation about a better future, 11. Have a moment to listen to music, 12. Have the wisdom to let go of the things that stress you, 13. Tidy a room in your school or home, 14. Have a moment to gaze at art, 15. Have a moment that connects you with nature, 16.
