  1. Recurrence after surgery is very common

Before 5–10 years, Proctology was not very much research so Surgeons used to do more cutting of tissues and then Suturing. Because of cutting or damage of more anal tissues, there was very weak tissue regeneration after healing. This leads to recurrence much more common. Also Proctology is somewhat related to bad life style, This is also another reason for recurrence if patients don’t follow surgeons advices properly.

These recent days, There are so many advances in proctology which makes surgeons more aware about the anatomy, Pathology and physiology of diseases. These days there is very less cutting or suturing of anal tissues and therefore anal tissue remains strengthen. So first Myth about proctology of Recurrence after surgery is solved and taken care properly.

2. Incontinence after surgery

Proper literatures and articles not available before few years about proctology disorders, So Surgeons Excised all the pile mass and make much more damages to Anal Sphincters/ Muscles. This leads to loss of anal continence.

Nowadays. We don’t even excised the pile mass we just repair the problem. So all the anal tissues remain intact and there will be no damage to sphincter or muscles. Myth number 2 is also solved then.

3. Anal stenosis after surgery

When we cut more tissues especially anal skin, there will be a healing process which leads to closer of the anal opening and create anal stenosis.

As we mentioned, Here we dont cut or damage anything not muscles nor anal skin. Hence myth number 3 is also cured.

In nutshells, Because of advancement in Surgical skills and availability of Surgical equipments like Laser, Video endoscopes, Staplers and more, We make sure our Patients dont even think of these myths in near future.

Thank you
