· Never put soda or sweetened drinks in a baby bottle. Use breast milk, water, or formula only. Don’t give juice, meal or snacks etc until 12 months.
· Encourage your children to drink from a cup from a cup by the first birthday.
· Give healthy snacks, such as milk, yogurt, peanut butter, cheese, fruits, and vegetables. Limit consumption of sweets in quantity and frequency.
· Gently wipe gums and inside the mouth, every day before baby teeth appear after feeding and before going to bed with clean warm water.
· If your kid uses a pacifier, never have dipped it in any sweet thing like honey or sugar. If it falls on the floor then clean it with hot water and soap instead of cleaning with your mouth.
· Encourage your kids to brush their teeth twice daily and floss daily.
· Kids of 2 to 5 years should use pea sized toothpaste for brushing their teeth.
· Visit, twice a year to your dentist and adopt the advice given by them.
