Between 2000 and 2006, he pursued a residency in Anesthesiology & Critical Care, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine at the same institution. From 2006 to 2011, Dr. Slevin was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Assistant Director of Acute Pain Services throughout the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and Assistant Director of the Interventional Pain and Spine fellowship program. During his tenure as Assistant Professor at Penn, he honed his leadership skills and was elected to the Penn Senate Faculty Executive Committee and University Council. He collaborated with top University executives and advised the Provost and President on various topics, including faculty intellectual property rights, eco-friendly initiatives for the Penn campus in West Philadelphia, and management of the University's endowment during the 2008 financial crisis.

Established in 2014, North American Spine and Pain have flourished under his leadership, employing more than 120 staff across three states. This proficient team consults with over 150,000 patients annually, setting a high benchmark of care in Pennsylvania and its neighboring regions. North American Spine and Pain extends specialized assistance for various conditions, including degenerative and herniated discs, extremity pain, nerve injuries, osteoarthritis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, sports-related injuries, sprains, strains, and tendinitis.

As a double-board-certified anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine professional, Dr. Kieran Slevin is an active member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the New Jersey Medical Society, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. This town is a hub for cultural, musical, and poetic gatherings. As a youth, Dr. Slevin represented Ireland internationally as a junior track and field athlete, sparking his lifelong love for sports. In his leisure time, he indulges in globetrotting, exploring new places, and amassing a unique sock collection. Besides sports and travel, he finds joy in cooking and long-distance running. A dog lover since his early years, he shares his home in Bucks County, PA, with his three canine companions.
