Dear Girl Who Almost Hit Me in The University Parking Lot,

First off, I really hope you’re alive. That’s right. Alive. You really scared me and traumatized me for awhile.

From the point of us pulling out of the parking lot to the moment we drove onto the highway, you were tailing me so close I could not even see your headlights. I decided to change lanes so that maybe you could get around me to get to where you were going quickly.

I guess that was not enough because you followed me to that lane as well. Was this a game? Were you messing with me or were you really upset with me? Either way, I was not willing to play this game because I was driving my mother’s nice SUV. As I continued to watch you, I realized you were swerving. Were you texting? I certainly hope not. I could believe it though by the reckless way you were driving!

Finally, you switched lanes to get out from behind me but stayed in my blind spot. Little did you know, I was still watching you when out of nowhere you swung back behind me almost hitting my car’s back end.

The moment I witnessed you losing control and hitting the median in my mirror, I prayed that you were not critically injured. Then, I watched you swerve the other direction across three lanes of traffic slam into an SUV towing a boat. You caused them to lose control and hit another car, all of you forcing each other to crash into the side guardrail.

Yes, I witnessed all of that. I immediately broke down crying and hyperventilating impairing my vision while driving. I actually had to pull over because I could not see through my tears. I called the police and told them the situation from start to finish.

I never received an update. I hope you’re all alive and I hope you, the girl who almost hit me in the University parking lot, learned your lesson.

Traumatized,

Darian
