Starting out in writing is tough…
Being self-employed as a writer can be a slog— especially in the early days when you have no reputation or credibility to lean on.
You need all the inspiration and motivation you can get.
My first few months on Upwork were tough. I wrote comparison articles for Amazon affiliates, earning just $6 an hour.
The first article I wrote was comparing models of hair straighteners and curling tongs.
The ironic thing is — I’m balder than the baldest of bald eagles!
(Maybe not the best metaphor as bald eagles have white feathers on their head — what’s that all about???)
Anyway, I wrote dozens of those comparison articles (and nearly lost the will to live in the process).
