If I were you I’d focus on fundamentals and the business model, building and tuning in a small profitable enterprise rather than a large unprofitable one. In times like this in the US (I am based in Europe, we don’t face such an adverse macro situation yet) it might be useful to focus on survival rather than on aggressive growth. Any investor appreciates a profitable business with potential, when he/she sees one.
You said that Austin counts less than 5% in your app’s usage so it doesn’t really matter where you’re based, right?
But, if you move to SV your overheads will explode, while having a hypothetically better access to funds. I wouldn’t take that bet. :-)
