Report from Puma in India

Day 1

I landed in Hyderabad, India at 8:30am local time (3:30am Northern Ireland) on February the 4th. Waiting for me at the airport was Stephen David and Rajesh with a big smile!

I having not slept much (aprox 1 hour in total) we drove from the airport into the city through a multitude of cars and motorbikes, hundreds of them. They looked like multitude of ants. We went immediately to a wedding ceremony to which I was not invited at all, but everyone in the place were welcoming me, which make me feel as if we met years ago. Thinking that the wedding ceremony would take an hour maximum, it ended up taking almost the whole day, and the end of it I was wrecked and went finally to bed.

I have to say that in this very first day I have noticed and learned of the love that they have for each other among the members of the church, and their desire to see their community, state and the whole nation reached for God.

Stephen David is a great guy, a very Godly man, passionate for the souls of this country and to see them growing for the glory of God. He will be teaching me personally about discipleship and the way they do it here, pray for his ministry and team helpers.

The people in general are the most hospitable and serving I ever met!!!

I took part in a two-day seminar at TENTS which was an eye opener for me and a very thought provoking one.

Last night I shared a word with the youth. On Sunday, I will be sharing at church. As you pray for me, would please pray that God help me to be an encouragement to this people in any way possible. Pray for the Hindu and Muslim community that they can come to know Christ through the faithful work that many congregations do here, pray for the family of a pastor who was recently stabbed to death accused of converting Hindus, his name was Pastor Sanjeevi, he used to live with his family in a nearby village. Pray for the persecution that is to come if the extremist get places in the parliament and government roles. Pray for Jenna and Sofia as well please. Thank you for your support.

I will be in touch soon!
