The influence of our environment
The influence of our environment is the basic fundamental law of nature. It is part of the law of harmony.
When we say environment, what comes to mind can vary exponentially from person to person. Each connotation will have a different meaning, but ultimately the same purpose. Hopefully, by the end of this article, we will all understand, be aware of, and most importantly, be able to implement it in our lives.
Let us first define the objective and our goal. The goal is to understand what influences and builds us is the environment in which we live. Man is a creature, a social animal, we are not a lone wolf.
However, there are those of us who, over time, who have developed a sense of disconnect from themselves due to encounters they have had in their surrounding environment.
Things such as psychological abuse and emotional upset are facets which could provoke a person to disconnect from their society in an attempt to shelter themselves from this environment. Despite this attempt, dissociating did not cure them, rather it garnered the same psychological issues and let it fester. From this stagnant means of self-recovery, we see no actual development was made.

The best way to remove a person from this crisis is to choose a favorable environment. When we say environment, we mean a society in which we live. Our environment is built from a combination of many ingredients: history, media, television, news sources, family, friends, the populace on the streets. Everything that feels outside of ourselves is a make-up of our environment. Still, there is another environment, our inner environment. Here, we scrutinize and inquire upon the information we receive from the external environment. If you would like, you can call these the voices of good and evil.
From the moment we are born until we die we are exposed to and influenced by the external environment. We have no say in this influence, whether we want it or not, it is a fundamental law of nature. However, we still have the freedom of choice. The influences which are placed upon us through society are not always conscious, but in this way, we must work to develop our own sense of awareness and personal internal choice.
When a baby is born, the way it learns how to walk and speak is dependent upon the influences of the environment in which it lives. The way we learn is by irritating our surroundings that we find ourselves in. The influence of the environment is created in this way. We get the power to develop ourselves, learning from the examples of others. Yet, as often as we learn from others, others have the same ability to learn from us. This is the cycle of empowerment, giving and receiving. This is a fundamental law of the development of nature, the law of harmony.
After many years of environmental exposure and development, we may find ourselves stagnant, at the crossroads. This is ignorance and unawareness to the fundamental law of the influence of the environment. We have created an egoistic society that is built from only one aspect of this law, and that is receiving. But do not misunderstand, for there is nothing wrong with receiving. The question is for what purpose are you receiving: to fulfill yourself or to fulfill your environment?
