Importance of Good Parenting in Child Development

Good parenting is more important than a good school to the academic success of a child. Youngsters do their best when they are helped by their parents in their homework, they can even emphasise the essentiality of education and thus attend the school events. In a nutshell, parents are the best teachers of every child. Kids learn moral values, manners, disciplines everything from their home. It’s their good upbringing which helps them succeed in the future.

Attending poor quality schools doesn’t matter for the children with supportive parents. They actually perform best when their parents take a high interest in their education. The key fact is that social mobility can’t be achieved just by fixing the school system. Some initiatives are also required which aimed to improve the involvement of parents.

The academic performance of a child depends on the quality of parental involvement in its life, which is called family social capital; however, the quality of the school is also needed, which is called school social capital.

Parents are considered for being passing on higher levels of social capital if they checked their kids’ homework daily, talk about school with their kids and also attend the parent-teacher meetings and other events. These all are considered to be the ways parents actually pass on the values and knowledge to their children. In the meantime, schools with high social capital also make sure the favourable classroom ambience that helps them learn more and makes them eager to learn new lessons every day. Alongside the home, school is another place where children learn how to behave properly.

Schools offer many extra-curriculum activities and try to contact parents regularly. Even teachers also consult with parents if they find any issue with a child. Now, parents are responsible for helping their kids in further improvement. So, while good schools help to raise accomplishment, the impact of the family is actually stronger.

Youngsters with a high level of family capital do better in exams even if they are with low school capital. So, the role of family involvement is actually stronger when it comes to academic success, albeit both school and family involvement are essential.

Parents play a vital role in child’s education also. So, they need to be more careful and invest their time in checking their kids’ homework, attending parent-teacher meetings and letting children know the importance of school.

Parents are able to inspire their children and teach them morality. Kids automatically imitate what they learn at their home and never forget also. So, in the light of the above discussion, parenting is not only important but also essential. On behalf of the parents, good parenting, in turn, makes sure a better society at large.

If today we teach our kids the right values, hopefully, they can get a brighter future and we can have a better world, a world where we all will live in peace and harmony.
