Man goes on the subway, starts lecturing about race differences and how the troubles of black people are not entirely due to discrimination.

Man gets an ass-kicking.

Man says, “Your communication style is completely dismissive! You haven’t addressed any of the arguments!”

Well, your own response is, I don’t like your style so I kind of feel for the other guy. Not having even read the OP. Substantive argument much? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yonatan made some substantive points, a response of “You haven’t even addressed this particular point and your tone is dismissive” is not very compelling.

The Google memo a little like ‘all lives matter’ , it’s stating things that are generally pretty well accepted in a context implying the other side doesn’t accept them and you’re the one being treated unfairly.

A company forum is not really the place for it. People are going to think you’re trying to start shit, and you probably are. If you pick one or two Google practices and why they are counterproductive, and propose alternatives, that’s constructive, this is insensitive in context and not something that seems intended to make Google better. A bad way to take on management and Google’s values and a lot of people who have challenges navigating an imperfect culture.
