Do you have to pay to download OpenBazaar?
No.
Do you have to pay to list on OpenBazaar?
No.
Do you pay any transaction fees when you buy or sell?
No. Bitcoin transaction fees are separate from OpenBazaar and don’t classify as a traditional take rate that centralized eCommerce platforms usually charge.
Do I pay a monthly fee to run OpenBazaar?
No.
The fact that your laptop uses electricity, or you have to drink water to survive etc, are proximal costs to participation.
Running a server on a VPS costs money and it’s how lots people keep their node accessible 24/7. It isn’t a requirement and the software doesn’t force you to pay that cost.
OpenBazaar is free is all the ways it counts, and costs money/knowledge in all the ways it doesn’t.
