Get to Know Dr. William Weeks, Part 5
Dr. William Weeks is interested in more than just health care reform. One of his greatest passions is Impressionist and post-Impressionist art. Though he loves artists like Monet, Degas, and Matisse, his favorite painter is Berthe Morisot. He named his dog Berthe in her honor. Dr. Weeks’ love for art and architecture prompted him to travel. His favorite art museums around the world are the Chicago Institute of Art, the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Barnes Museum, the Clark, the Victoria and Albert Museum, L’Orangerie, and Musee d’Orsay.
Dr. Weeks traveled extensively in Europe and the United States. His favorite cities are Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts; Paris, France; Vienna, Austria; Riga, Latvia; and St. Petersburg, Russia. He has also been to Uganda, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Canada. Dr. Weeks hopes to spend an extended amount of time exploring Eastern Europe and becoming more familiar with the cultures there.
For as much as Dr. Weeks enjoys traveling, he loves his home even more. Dr. Weeks lives in Lyme, New Hampshire. He has lived in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire for 30 years. He raises his six children in the area and contributes to his local community by being the chair of the local school board.
Dr. William Weeks enjoys a number of hobbies and interests in his free time. He enjoys reading, writing, and recreating. He has plans to one day write a work of fiction. He regularly reads the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Economist, the Washington Post, and the Week. His active leisure activities including running, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, rowing, CrossFit, and cross-country and downhill skiing. His favorite sports team is the New England Patriots.
