3 Steps To Develop Charisma

Some say you’re born with it, I say you develop it.

Charisma can be defined as a “compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others.” Let’s first define the word compelling, which means “powerful or irresistible.” And charm is defined as “power or quality of giving delight or arousing admiration.” One step further, devotion refers to “love, loyalty or enthusiasm.” If this is true, than given some philosophical application and applying some purpose allows us to prove that it is not only possible to develop charisma, but that you can do it in 3 simple steps.

Aristotle was known for saying that “whatever you see in others, you have within you.” Therefore, if someone inspires devotion in you by who they are or what they say (what you see or what you hear) then you too have that within you (the charisma.) The very word inspiration gives the clue that it’s already within you, as inspiration is when your soul and phsyical are connected and in harmony. Plato was also known for saying that “all learning is a recollection.” Applying this knowledge, we realize that we do have the things inside us that we admire in others, we just simply have to awaken it (recollect it.)

Already we’re developing a new definition to better help you understand charisma: An irresistible attaractiveness that comes from living your true self (OnPurpose.) When you live your true self, you silently give others permission to do the same. When you’re On Purpose you in-spire (put in spirit) love, loyalty, and enthusiasm (energy+spirit.)

Now, the following are 3 Simple Steps to Develop Charisma:

1. Values

Everyone has values, and has a priority that they place on them. Taking the time to know your higher values and acting in accordance with them allows you to connect with your true self, rather than trying to be someone else. When you align with your higher values, you live On Purpose, and you attract others, because others want to do the same. Everybody wants to be their true selves, but few have the courage and discipline to actualize themselves.

2. Inspiration

When you know your true self, and act on that, you’re inspired. It’s the seamless connection between spirit and matter, mental and physical. It’s easy to tell when you’re inspired, because energy and ideas flow. Tony Robbins calls this being “In State.” I call it being “On Purpose.” You get inpsired by doing what you love. Make it a goal to do a little bit of what you love each day. The more you do, and the more you align with your true self, the more inspired you’ll be, and the more you’ll draw and attract people towards you.

3. Purpose

When you take the time to know your values, act on them to be inspired, you actually live out your purpose, which is your divine mission on this planet. When you live your divine mission, you will magnetically attract people towards you to help you, aid in your mission and who want to do the same (everybody.) This magnetism happens naturally, and ultimately is what charisma is all about.

Lastly we have yet a further developed definition:

Charisma is the irresistible power of giving delight that can inspire love in others.

Isn’t that what we all want anyways? To see the light in ourselves and others..
