3 Steps to Grow Your Business

Being an entrepreneur is not easy, nor is it fun all the time. Managing people, expectations, money, marketing and systems all at the same time can be exhausting.

Yes, it’s true, that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. And, at the same time that’s BS. I work everyday. I bust my tail, risk everything I have for expansion, and leave my family all day, sometimes all weekend or even all week to expand, serve and grow in business.

True, some people do incredibly well in business, and they appear to have their lives “together,” whatever that means. Many people however forget the core of business, purpose, and end up with a pile of cash and a very mediocre life at that.

I love freedom. And this is not a rant about money. Money isn’t good or bad, its’ neutral. It doesn’t bring happiness and it doesn’t bring unhappiness. What people (or you) do with money is either valued or despised, and labeled as either good or bad. Just labels. This is deeper than that.

This is about your purpose, following it, and ultimately the RESULT of your service. Follow these 3 Steps in Business and You’ll Grow More Than Ever:
1. Save: Never forget that your product, service or idea is so great, that it probably saved your life at some point. Either financially, physically, mentally, etc, right? Remember that your goal in business is to SAVE those that NEED your thing. This is mission critical. As Grant Cardone says, “if you’re not promoting, you’re demoting.” Believe in your product so much that it hurts not to share it with others.
2. Serve: Wayne Dyer said “If life is a gift, the only thing we can do is give it away.” What’s your loving service to the world? Don’t believe in that? Sure. Remember that your mother/father decided at some point that raising YOU was a greater service to the world, and they dedicated (at least in part) their life to serving you. Wiping your rear to be blunt. Always remember your service to the world, and if you don’t know it, find out.
3. Reward: Defined as “given in recognition of one’s service.” Go back and read step 2. In life, you’re paid based on one thing-the value you bring. Watch this quick video clip I made to remind you of that:

Remember that your reward comes AFTER the value you produce. Get used to that, remember that, and take your focus OFF of that, and you’re a better business person as a result.

I hope that helps you keep your focus on delivering your greatness to the world.
