Definitely agree. At this point computer programming should be a standard part of the national educational curriculum, along with math, reading, etc. There may be a number of factors that have to be considered for this, such as enough trained teachers in this field, as NYC has been concerned with. Financial incentive (overall problem with teachers) would be another issue and more, but this could be a driver for bringing more people into underserved areas.
