That’s a smart insight that I didn’t think about.
Another angle is that if we assume there is a certain amount of repair revenue per mile driven, and that AVs reduce the cost of driving, then more more miles will be driven and more repair revenue will be generated.
But unless the additional revenue offsets the problems that fleet ownership will cause for independent repair shops, we’re back at your point about denial.
