Things I would like to see on Instagram

Notifications on selected posts. While asking people to turn on notifications is a bit useless exercise. It definitely is a nice feature but can be annoying for every post. if it is selective then it can be more effective. Brands can limit notifications on new product launches and not for every post on their feed.

Every now and then I come across accounts who use multiple post to create seamless visuals using many posts. Whereas I love going through such accounts they are annoying to follow(you get bits of images on your feed every few seconds). These accounts end up in the category of stumbling upon and not follow. A preview of multiple of images on the feed and not all of them separately would be great.

Reinstagram / mute functions.

360 mode for both video and stills.

vertical / horizontal switching like youtube to view images fullscreen weather they are shot in landscape or portrait mode.

No automated scroll to the most recent image, both Facebook and twitter do not do this.

Aspect Ratio choice in layout. At the moment any collage you make on layout is 1:1 while there is way around this but it would be good to choose 2:3 or 16:9 from within the app.
