In the view of many prominent progressives, Keith Ellison, although significantly better than the other candidates, is barely eligible for their support. Ellison has supported intervention in Libya, an example his hawkish stance on foreign policy. For us, Keith Ellison is the bare minimum. If the Democratic Party does not complete its transition to a true party of the people and the lower and middle class, we will simply keep losing to the populist right. The establishment is dead, and the Democrats must accept it.
