October 21, 2015 is a very special date for many science fiction movie enthusiasts around the world. Dubbed “Back to the Future” Day, October 21, 2015 was the date typed into the time machine in the franchise’s second installment, and many have been counting the similarities between the movie and our present time. The future is now in the past.

Friday night flyby: Skyscraper-sized asteroid will pass Earth on Halloween

Halloween is by nature an odd and creepy holiday, but space decided to celebrate in a very interesting way. Ten days ago an asteroid that is 1,500 feet in diameter was discovered to be hurtling at 78,000 mph through space and will pass Earth on Halloween night. Even thought it will pass at a safe distance of 310,000 miles in a cosmic sense it will be a close call.

Widow sues doctors: ‘dead’ husband tried to hug me

Sometimes even doctors make mistakes and very rarely do those mistakes end well. Tammy Cleveland is suing two hospitals and a doctor in each after her husband, Michael, was erroneously declared deceased when he actually still had a pulse. When Mrs. Cleveland went to view the body, her “dead” husband attempted to reach out and hug her, but the doctors refused to believe he was alive and did not check until it was too late to save his life. Michael died the next day from a collapsed lung, which could have been fixed easily if it had been caught in time according to the doctors who took over in the emergency room.
