How to Hack Your Brain to Become Radically More Confident and Less Fearful

When young I enrolled in contemporary dance classes. At that time a person was referred to in dance class as being centered or uncentered.

Working on a mastery of balance, practice moving gracefully transforms individuals into far more confident, and less anxious, children and adults.

Once I learned to balance and use my center, I overcame the fear of public speaking, performed dances before audiences of thousands and advanced as a mentor for teachers.

Mastering martial art or dance changes the focus of a person from his or her head to the center of gravity, hips and pelvis bone. The most powerful muscles in the body reside there. Lions and all felines uses this deep muscle, the psoas, to take soaring leaps and so do dancers!

Thanks for writing this post. I’m sharing it with my 23 year old daughter.

PS. The word psoas comes from the Greek psoa meaning the “loin region.
