Trump will lose. And “bigly”.

We all understand your frustration. Washington has failed us all time and time again. Nothing gets done. There’s so much partisan bickering and deadlocked legislation that one would think the only thing to fix this is an outsider with no political experience to be the adult.

Then Trump came along.

Trump is a brash voice of “common sense” and success. You’ve seen his name for years. That hair. The no-nonsense way of speaking . That reality show where he fired people in a board room if they didn’t meet the expectations hoisted upon them by the boss.

You think, “Hey, he can do that in Washington!”. Except he can’t. In Washington, he can’t fire anyone except his most trusted staff. He can’t disband congress. He can’t hoist his legal prowess on the United State Supreme Court. He can’t build anything or make any country pay for anything without severely damaging our trade position.

He talks a big game. He says some things you can really support. He says some things that make you wonder if he’s even sane. But it’s all so much fun to toot that Trump train horn while it chugs past I-495 into the White House. TOOT TOOT! All aboard!

The harsh reality, though, is you’re on a train headed to the cold shallow river.

Trump Express in the general

The train won’t last against Hillary. She’s withstood years of corruption charges and has the gumption to expect that will continue. Benghazi, email servers, classified emails, Clinton Foundation money, rape cover ups, White House looting, FBI filegate, Vince Foster, etc. etc. etc. This list is long and weighty. What has this amounted to? Hillary Clinton in prime position to be the Democratic nominee for the President of the United States.

This says two things about America; 1: You can get away with anything if you are powerful enough and have enough dirt on people. 2: People are dumb enough to elect a person based on their cult of personality.

Which brings me to you. Your vote for Trump is a vote against the established politicians in Washington D.C. But more-so, it’s a vote for Donald Trump’s finely crafted brand. You probably don’t care what he says or has done. You love that Donald Trump, that boisterous boss from that entertaining reality show, is out there and seems to have some real support. It’s your turn to say shove it to the politicians by sending Donald Trump there to knock a few heads around. I think we all want that.

Here’s the problem. Your vote against Washington D.C. is actually a vote FOR Washington D.C. insiders. The cronies that run the town. The bigger than life rich backroom cigar smoking caricatures you imagine is running things, that is Donald j. Trump. You are choosing him.

In all the faults of the lobby industry, one fact is concrete. No one lobbyist can set the tone and direction of Washington. He can push a congressman towards his position and introduce legislation that may or may not get passed on Capital Hill but that’s the game they play and we all loathe.

Electing Donald Trump is no different than randomly grabbing one lobbyist as he makes his way into a burger joint with Senator A to discuss tobacco legislation and putting him against Hillary Clinton.

It’s a fool’s game and you’re the fool. I’m sure you have the best of intentions but you are only giving this election to Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump’s currently just above Idi Amin and a smidgen below Hillary Clinton in favor-ability. People hate him more than:

  • A woman who’s treated the Secret Service like butlers.
  • A woman who has slandered and discredited women who were sexually assaulted by her husband.
  • A woman who lied about taking sniper fire in Bosnia.
  • A woman who was ultimately responsible for not ensuring the safety of the consulate in Benghazi even after multiple requests for more protection.
  • A woman that lied about the whole event blaming a YouTube video.

People dislike her less than Trump. A stupid position to put ourselves in.

According to Nate Silver, Trump is at 58% unfavorable. Hillary is 50%. Trump is the pick a damaged, least trusted and generally disliked presidential hopeful like Hillary would want. She couldn’t have asked for a better opponent.

The DNC hasn’t even started on him yet. But when they do, you will wish for a choirboy like Cruz or Rubio. Where the worst thing you can pin on them is they are young and don’t have years upon years of experience in congress. All fair criticisms but you won’t find sexual assaults, fraudulent businesses, multiple bankruptcies, policy flip flops, praise on pro-abortion organizations or an inconsistent conservative philosophy.

Trump will lose easily to Hillary Clinton, your excitement aside. If you support Trump, you’re are literally handing the election to Hillary Clinton. If you support Cruz or Rubio, they have a much easier time competing for the White House and bringing back decency and common sense back to the White House.
