Health advice for people who sit all day

Why

Over the past two years, I’ve come up with tricks to live a healthy lifestyle in a way that’s consistently reproducible and impossible for me to give up on.

Because of these tricks, I wake up feeling great almost every morning… whereas most people I know repeatedly complain about feeling like crap.

I realized it was time I wrote this guide for others who also have difficulty adhering to healthy habits. I am not a doctor, but I am a methodical engineer who takes health seriously and has seen positive results for a long time. I guarantee you nothing other than my sincerity.

Who am I? You can read more about me at Julian.com.

Exercise

Walks

Walking 20 minutes a day greatly reduces your risk of premature death due to physical inactivity. My fun way of reliably getting 1+ hour of walking daily is to pace in circles (indoors) while watching TV shows or movies on my iPad. (The trick is to plug in headphones.)

Walking is walking — just do it wherever is most convenient; don’t think that you need fresh air and sunlight for a walk to have its tremendous health effects on your body and brain.
