Inability of the Mind: Comprehension

This happens when your head simply does not register what your senses capture. Either it refuses to, chooses not to, or intelligibly can not. Often what happens is that a stronghold erects around you, keeping you from plainly seeing what is in front of you or what is around you. Why do you think that happens? Because you are unable to? No, it is because of your very own will.

Some time ago, I only admit to things I wish to. I push away what I believe to be incorrect or is ill-suited to my favors. I know of its presence; I just refuse to acknowledge it.

This is a mistake. Even if you voluntarily deny its existence, it does not simply leave. It does not disappear. For it waits and waits until you accept the fact that it’s there, and that it’s not going anywhere unless you face it.

Not everything in the world goes the way you want it to and that’s okay. It’s the right of nature; to have its own soul, its own will, separate from yours.

To understand or not to is something under your conscious control and you have to know that, at the least. You are allowed to enter a state of denial, but only to some extent, where then, you will be forced into admission.

Would you rather do so with your own volition or be subdued by nature to accept with remorse?

I, for one, would like to maintain full jurisdiction upon my mind.
