Dom Cole on finding inspiration in the art world.

Actor/Musician Dom Cole recently spoke to Dūer about what attracts him to attending opening nights at art galleries. “I’m always searching for a new way to grow as a human being. I feel my best when I’m immersed in creativity, this year I’ve made it my mission to attend the best art shows across the country.” We caught up with Dom at the Art in LA Affair, it’s a Who’s Who of artists and buyers in Los Angeles. Dom was there supporting his friend and Urban Art Group Cal member, Luis Al Calderon. “I’ve watched Luis build his art ventures over the years and I had to be here tonight! The showcase was beautiful.”
Dom Cole has spent time in various parts of the country connecting with artists and gallery owners. Blue Cone Studios based in Seattle is an artists coalition that Dom finds most intriguing. “What an amazing group of people. They’ve created a family atmosphere that gives local artist a place to express themselves freely. Being around that fresh energy awakens my soul!

Earlier this year Dom attended two art exhibitions that featured work by his creative partner Stephen Philms. “I got to see the creative process from beginning to end, that was dope. I rode with him to drop off the artwork to the galleries. The detail in the hanging of the art is well thought out, I noticed that when I attended opening night of both shows. The curation process has inspired my own creative work. Most importantly I’ve been able to meet some wonderful people from all walks of life, I value the connection the most.”
