Of New Year Resolutions And Spirituality
Eme Bassey-Duke

‘Many people break the resolutions within the first few days, adjust them, and then break the adjusted ones after a few more days.’

I just broke one of mine. Lol. The problem is our human nature. Humans, especially those of us in this part of the world live our lives by numbers, so we use the years as they pass by as the guide. The funniest thing is that if we diligently pursue these goals, there are better chances of achieving them than we can ever do with the rush hour adjustments. Humans taking spirituality like a crashed course shows how we like the last hour and sycophantic stand on issues. We can also attribute it to our superstitious nature. The logic is; your blessing comes based on how you start the year with God.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
