Nothing mysterious Todd — the Terminix guy rang the doorbell as I was posting — and I didn’t notice that I’d not managed to finish getting rid of it before hitting the publish button.

A side note I had meant to include — your piece was very timely for me, as I’m in the middle of some type of transformation myself. My walks (here in Hawaii) have really become an important part of my day. I usually wrap up my day with a walk though, and usually pretty late at night. I live in your typical development here on Oahu, so there’s no outstanding ‘natural beauty’ unless I get adventurous on the weekends. The quietness though, even in the neighborhood at night really sets everything at ease. Just the stars and the sound of my dog’s feet on the pavement work a magic in me.
