It’s amazing that Khan Academy is doing so well, and that’s only one of many educational services. I recently audited a graduate-level class on some cutting-edge technology at an Ivy League school, for free on YouTube.

Many people use the internet for entertainment, and many use it for education, research, managing their health, communicating with distant relatives, getting news, etc.

The internet is not Netflix, and our school system is not working well. One massive benefit of the Internet, and it’s only one small facet of the Internet, is bringing world-class information and teaching to everyone.
