One destination I hope to tick off my travel bucket-list this year is Angkor Wat, Cambodia

My Travel Bucket-list in 2020

When you spend every waking moment selling travel, it’s impossible to not be completely inspired by the vastness of destinations and experiences to be had. Here are the 10 trips I would love to do in 2020.

From the sizzling steaks of Texas to the smooth jazz of New Orleans, the soulful Blues of Memphis to the sinful cheesesteaks of Philadelphia. I want to do it all this year.

I love travelling to Australia a couple times a year for work. The more I see of this country, the more I want to discover new parts of it. The two areas I’d love to experience in 2020 are Kakadu / Litchfield National parks in the Northern Territory, and Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. This trip by Inspiring Journeys covers both and looks awesome.

I’ve always wanted to do a mini-apprenticeship with master artists around the world. And what could be better than travelling to Cordoba to tap into thirty years of stringed instrument mastery and craft my own instrument? Sign me up.

This exclusive small-boat voyage — with a world-class skipper and seasoned polar crew — brings a taste for adventure back to travel to the white continent. Explore the Antarctic Peninsula aboard an ice-strengthened motorsailer, surrounded by seals, whales, penguins and icebergs. Continent bucket-list ticked!

Few have heard of it, let alone been. Shetland is in the far north of Scotland, where one of the most incredible festivals in Europe is held. On the last Tuesday of January, the town of Lerwick goes more than a little mad. Fifty helmeted Vikings, a burning Norse galley, and an all-night party.

I’ve never had the opportunity to go to Cambodia. Which is crazy! The Angkor Wat temples look so incredible and would love to experience them at sunrise sometime in 2020.

I’ve always wanted to visit Israel and Jordan. From the Wailing Wall to the rose-red façades of Petra, the tomb of King David, the Mount of Beatitudes and the Dead Sea. Too many bucket list items to list here!

I’ve never been to Kyoto, plus I would love to learn the traditional art of calligraphy with a master of the craft. This VAWAA travel apprenticeship combines both!

I’d love to take my family on a safari and show them the beauty of the African bush. This eight-night safari is specially designed to give guests the best chances of witnessing this remarkable phenomenon. Experience game drives that bring you surprisingly close to Africa’s ‘Big Five’ and thousands of migrating wildebeest on the endless plains of the Serengeti before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater and exploring Tarangire Game Reserve.

U is a fresh approach to river cruising and I can totally imagine that this cruise along the Rhine river being a great introduction to the travel style and a really relaxing week of easy travel.

So where do you want to go this year? Tell me in the comments below!
