Dribbble and The Creation of The Useless Designer
Michael Abehsera

I don’t believe that dribbble can be considered as a “design” resource in general. It has clearly become a UI design resource, and some start confusing actual work with concept art. I miss the older days when work on display was real work in progress and not some dude’s take on what the iOS springboard should look like.

But truly, the problem seems more to be the lack of place to share actual design work (like in building something that is usable, doable and desirable).

To me, it comes from the fact that reducing a work that is usually complex and wide is much more difficult than sharing a shot. It requires long articles, videos, illustrations.

Closest thing I found so far is medium!
