It’s all about mindset.
Looking at these four schemes, do you notice anything in common?
These are methods with common roots, that’s why it’s normal.
For years now we have been using the same concepts and applying them in different contexts with different names. In software development, business, design, marketing, and so on.
When I say that Growth Hacking is more related to Agile and not to Marketing Automation or that it is closer to Lean Startup than to Conversion Rate Optimization… that’s what I mean!
Fewer tools and more process. Fewer tricks and more mindset.
Because at the end of the day, it’s about process and mindset.
Processes based on cycles that have things in common like:
- Fast and continuous interactions
- Data-driven decisions
- User-centered approach
We use cool names in order to sell books and consulting, but the basic principles are the ones that matter, that’s why we have been applying them for years in different fields.
Do you know what’s great about it? That in the end, it’s about best practices and a bit of common sense.
They are methodologies/approaches to work better, to manage processes better, to organize teams better, and to create better products.
That’s what we should all be aiming for.
