You are right on target. I wanted this article to be accessible to parents/teachers/leaders who do still care about work in the traditional sense, but yeah, ultimately this is about preparing people to deal with the existential dread that will come when our lives no longer revolve around jobs. Hence the “and or fulfillment”.
However, I do think that reality is still a few generations away. In the meantime the majority of people still need to work, and the market is becoming one where many of the best opportunities are those that people create for themselves.
