Day 3: My Life After Winning the Lottery

I have to apologize about the delay, I was busy baking! Before anything else, I would like to share some of the pastries I baked!

Pain au lait, which is pretty much your regular dinner roll, just harder to pronounce.

Lemon Squares!

Tastes like the ones sold at Coffee Bean.

My tito goes to the lottery booth in front of his condo everyday, he bets three sets of numbers for three of his favorite people, my mom included. So this inspired me to ask you guys what you’ll do if you won the lottery. I must say, I’m happy with the things you guys wrote because your dreams are not centered on material things and your plans do not involve squandering your money on useless things. So yeah, I’m so proud of you guys! :’)

My family is of moderate means. We get to buy some of the things we need and a little more and when we cannot afford the things we want, we just try not to think about wanting it. Of course, its wonderful to dream, but we always are in touch with reality. So thinking about winning the lottery actually excites me!

So what I’m showing you guys is my step-by-step plan if I won the lottery:

Step 1: Frosted Oven Cafè with bookstore!

Location: M. L. Quezon Avenue Ext.

Size: About 120 sqm plus 20 sqm kitchen

I actually talked about this with one of my friends, he’d design the place, but yeah, I don’t want to involve him with my dream anymore, he might jinx the whole thing. Hahaha #moveon

Step 2: Ask my Dad to retire

My Dad lives at our house in Quezon City and my mom frequently visits me and my sister at our house in Antipolo. It bothers me that my dad is often alone, he even started watching telenovelas at night because he’s so bored. So yeah, during our vacation, my night feels incomplete without Probinsyano and Dolce Amore (and lately, Born for You! Yey Japaaaan!) Pero Team LizQuen pa din haha! I would like my Dad to retire so he’d spend more time with my mom. I could hear them spend hours talking on the phone when my Mom is here in Antipolo. I’ll buy the house on top of the mountain near the windmills of Pilila, yeah, I can’t quite get over that hanging house. Haha I just love the windmills at Pilila! I was so happy when I went there!

Step 3: AiTech Library

I love the library! Maybe that’s why one of my best friends at school is Gene Paul (aside from the fact that we have similar interests and same level of immaturity). So I would like our library to have the following:

1) Cafe inside the library — kasi lagi ako gutom. Haha. May free food din sana.

2) Lots of books! Not just technical books but literary classics, young adult books, and comic books (sige na nga, sama na natin yung Manga haha)

3) Bean bag room!!! Where we could chill and take naps. May mga stuffed toys din, Pororo, Pikachu (yesss, yung may sounds), Domo, Baymax, grabe, parang pang pre-school yung gusto ko na library.

4) iPads on every table! I saw this in a cafè near my former school in Taft, super sosyal may nakadikit na iPad sa ilalim ng table! Waaaa!

5) Internet. Kailangan pa ba iexplain. Hahaha. Para mapost agad ang selfie #chillatthelib

6) Free Printing (5 pages per day lang ah)

7) Discussion Rooms where students can rent the room (for free sympre) may projector, white board, and other things needed.

8) Quiet Room, para sa loners mag aral. Bawal magsalita sa loob. Kahit whisper. Hahaha. Ayoko sa loob nun. :))

9) Fountain sa gitna. Well, nakakarelax kasi.

10) Fireworks every Saturday, jowk! :))

Step 4: Adopt all dogs without owners in Antipolo! I just feel so sad pag meron mga doggo na walang amo. My dogs are so lucky because they are so loved. So gusto ko lahat ng dogs meron home… parang Hotel for Dogs na movie. Hehehe.

Step 5: Travel the world with the people I love ❤️ I promised to myself that I would marry someone who loves to travel so we could see the world together. Someone whose favorite country is also Japan. Someone who sings and plays the guitar. Hahaha yes, si John Mayer ang asawa ko. ❤️

Step 6: Build a retirement community. Hindi lang home for the aged pero isang community. May farm sila, livelihood programs, concerts, etc. although may ganito na, gusto ko sana mas developed.

Step 7: Rehabilitation Center, I want people to remove the stigma about mental health. Institutionalized people are not ‘baliw’. They just have the courage to admit that something is wrong with their mental health and that they need help. Its sad because of the labels people give when you’re consulting psychiatrists or if you’re taking medications… awww, it just makes me sad.

So these are the things I would like to do if I were to win the lottery… its farfetched but… libre nga mangarap diba? ❤️
