Day 10 — We went to Disneyland

Yesterday, Day 10 of our Odyssey, we ventured from Quartz Hill to Anaheim. It was a 90-minute drive, and Eldest Son (ES), who bought the tickets as his Christmas gift to all of us, wanted to be at the gates when the park opened at 8 a.m. This necessitated a wake-up time for the missus and me of 4:30 to take care of the dogs before breakfast and take them out again just before we left. ES's friend would be coming to spend the day with them while we were gone.

We departed ES's house at 6:05. Most of the drive was dark, but the sky had lightened by the time we reached LA, and my missus got a photo of the skyline.

We arrived at the tram station by the parking area.

We arrived at the parking area a few minutes before 8:00 and could park close to the tram station because ES drives an EV and wanted to charge the car while we were in the park.

The iconic Micky Mouse image was the first Disneyesque site that greeted us after the short walk from our parking spot to the tram station. The yellow buttons let us know we were looking at the front and not the…
