Moravian Cookies and an old Grist Mill

A visit to a 70-year-old baking business and a 257-year-old mill

On Thursday, 5/16/2024, we arrived at Tanglewood Park RV Campground and, after some challenges backing the rig in around trees and poles, got set up and settled in for our 4 days/3 nights of camping here with our club.

The club activity for Thursday night was to gather at a camper with an outside TV and watch the Hurricanes/Rangers game. If you’re a Rangers fan, the outcome made you happy. If you’re a Hurricanes fan, not so much.

What I liked best about the get-together was the ice cream and snacks and hanging out with friends.

This morning, Friday, a group of us went to breakfast at Pete’s Family Restaurant in Clemmens. Our server was awesome and fit right in with our unruly crowd and our jokes. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous.
