One of the best things about leaving accounting to teach was being on basically the same schedule as my sons. I was able to be there for their sports and Scouts to the extent they needed or wanted me to, which was less and less as the grew older and more independent.

Now that they're grown and on their own, they still know I'll move heaven and earth to get to them if they need me.
