Narrative Entry#1: The Things You Would Do For Your Friend

Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote “ The only way to have a friend is to be one.” It was a cold wintry night and I just got settled in bed when I received a phone call from my very good friend Devyn, she was hysterical. I couldn’t understand a word that she was saying and I was confused because my boyfriend William and myself were just out with her and her boyfriend Daniel. Turns out that when Devyn and Daniel got home they were still arguing from the bar that we were all at. I knew Daniel for about two years, I was never too crazy about him, but he was her boyfriend so I tolerated him and she knew that. While at the bar, he was saying inappropriate jokes and directing them towards me. Needless to say William was not happy and Devyn was embarrassed. William whispers in my ear and tells me, I’m ready to go. We get up and walk out to the parking lot and William and Daniel exchange words. I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible before something terrible happened.
