Surprising Solution To My Health Problems

I’m in my late 40s and I’ll be honest—age is catching up to me. I’ve been eating right (mostly) and I’ve been exercising, but I just can’t seem to get the full benefits of it. No matter what I do, I still seem to suffer from the following symptoms:

  1. SLUGGISHNESS — even though I’m exercising, I don’t have increased energy.
  2. DIGESTIVE ISSUES — despite eating right, I still had “tummy trouble.” I wasn’t adjusting to the new, healthy foods I was eating and I didn’t want to spend more money on pills and probiotics.
  3. LOWER BACK, HIP, AND LEG PAIN — not just that exercise soreness, but a constant nagging pain. And it wasn’t even leg day!
  4. ANXIETY — exercise didn’t relieve it and it wasn’t all the coffee jitters I got from battling my sluggishness.
  5. TROUBLE SLEEPING — I couldn’t fall asleep easily and, when I did, I couldn’t stay asleep.
  6. and, um, DECREASED SEXUAL PERFORMANCE

That last one got me. It was a big deal that I was no longer a big deal. I wanted, no, I needed a way to overcome these issues.

I know I’m getting older and things aren’t working like they used to, but it was getting ridiculous. I could have attributed my lack of “attention” to my anxiety and lack of sleep and intestinal issues and muscle pains. They sure didn’t make me want to perform even though I wanted to perform, you know? I thought I should just get a little blue pill to help me but I didn’t want to spend outrageous amounts of money on a pill to help me perform even though I still had all those other problems.

IT’S TRUE — THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL

All my problems seemed to have a pill. I could take a pill for my anxiety, a pill to help me sleep, a pill to wake me up, a pill to increase my metabolism, a pill to help my digestion, a pill to take away the muscle and joint pains, and a pill to, well, “rise to the occasion.” I sarcastically said that I wish there was just one pill that would take care of all these things. Well, of course, there isn’t. And if there was, could you imagine the cost? Or the side effects? They might end up being worse than the problems I was already having.

But it got me thinking …

There may not be a pill to help me with all these issues, but if there was, it would mean they were all connected somehow. What if they were? When I looked into it a bit, I discovered that there was one simple thing contributing to a lot of these problems

SITTING

Yes, sitting. We do tend to live a fairly sedentary lifestyle. We sit in our cars, at our desks, at the dinner table, on the couch watching Netflix. We sit a lot. I know I did. And I still do. So, okay, I should exercise more? I should walk more? I should just stand instead of sit? I was already exercising and walking and working with a new standing desk. Why wasn’t I getting better? Because it wasn’t just sitting that was the problem. And I was surprised to find out what it was. All of my problems — my lack of energy, my inability to lose my bulging belly, my unrestful sleep, my aches and pains, my upset stomach, and even my, I’ll say it, poor sexual performance — were linked to one thing I never expected.

SURPRISING SOLUTION

Turns out, the root of all these problems was in my hip flexors. Weird, right? I thought it was especially weird since I already stretch my hip flexors when I work out. Turns out, I didn’t need to just stretch my hip flexors, I needed to unlock them! All that stretching I was doing? I was doing it wrong. Static stretching alone doesn’t cut it. You have to do a variety of techniques from a variety of angles to adequately unlock your hip flexors and get them to work properly and in your favor. And you have to do them in the right order, in what’s called the Sequential Flow Method. You can learn all about that here.

Now you’re probably asking the same questions I was asking. How are the hip flexors possibly related to sitting when I’m not using them and how will unlocking them relieve my other problems? The hip flexor, or psoas muscle, is the only muscle that connects the upper body to the lower body. It attaches to the vertebrae of the lower spine, moves through the pelvis, and connects to a tendon at the top of the femur. It also attaches to the diaphragm, so it’s connected to your breathing as well as the muscle that all of your major organs rest on. No wonder I was having so many issues!

It all sounds so simple, so why didn’t I figure this out before? Why didn’t my doctor detect it? Why didn’t my trainer suggest it? Well, because your hip flexors are buried so deep within your abdomen, they’re difficult to diagnose. As a result, your doctor or trainer probably didn’t pinpoint them as the root cause behind all your issues. It’s not their fault. And it’s not yours either. And now you can finally do something about it. When you learn to unlock your hip flexors, you’ll find your other issues feel like they’re taking care of themselves.

That’s all fine and good. So the next step was figuring out how to unlock my hip flexors. I mean, I’ve been stretching my hip flexors, and probably, so have you. But chances are, like me, you’ve been doing it wrong. Trouble is, I didn’t know how to do it right. Fortunately, I found someone who did. And with their help, I’m enjoying my increased energy, my decreased anxiety, and my more powerful sexual performance. All because I learned to unlock my hip flexors. Who knew? Well, thanks to this method of unlocking my hip flexors, now you know!
