Garmin Black Friday-Cyber Monday Deals 2017
Final update Dec 26th 2017: The below deals are still available, and may now remain on offer through the holiday period.
There are some amazing Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals appearing around Thanksgiving 2017 on several Garmin GPS watches, Edge cycling computers and Oregon outdoors GPSes that are popular amongst our dwMap and routeCourse route map app users.
- Garmin Fenix 5 — $499 at Amazon (usually $599)
- Garmin Fenix 5S — $499 at Amazon (usually $599)
- Garmin Fenix 5X — $599 at Amazon (usually $699)
- Garmin Edge 520 — $219 at Amazon (usually $299)
- Garmin Oregon 700 — $335 at Amazon (usually $399)
- Garmin Oregon 750 — $375 at Amazon (usually $499)
- Garmin Oregon 750T — $425 at Amazon (usually $549)
- Garmin Forerunner 235 — $294 at Amazon (usually $329)
- Garmin Vivoactive — $116 at Amazon (usually around $150)
- Garmin Vivoactive HR — $169 at Amazon (usually $249)
- Garmin Vivoactive 3 — $249 at Amazon (usually $299)
Since Garmin requires its retailers to follow strict minimum price rules, it’s rare to see such deals on these watches and Edges. In the case of the Fenix 5 series in particular it’s unexpected as these are popular new watch models.
The other standout deals are the Vivoactive HR and Forerunner 920XT (Nov 28: 920XT is no longer on sale). The Vivoactive HR is a very capable and sleek watch, and it’s rare to get a model with a built-in heart rate sensor for this price.
The Forerunner 920XT is an older model, but is still an excellent watch for triathletes with true multi-sport capability. It’s arguable a better buy than the Forerunner 735XT, as the 735XT has ended up in an awkward middle ground regarding features. Our dwMap app works great on it (and also on the 920XT), but our routeCourse does not. routeCourse works on the Forerunner 935 and Fenix 5 watches though, so we’d recommend saving money and getting the 920XT, or spending more and getting the 935, rather than buying the 735XT.
