My Podcasting Goals For 2018

In 2018, I will mark 20 years of professional broadcast industry work, and thirteen years of podcasting.

With that front of mind at the start of the new year, I am looking at multiple podcasting goals for the year ahead. Those include, but are not limited to:

Publishing The 1,000th Episode Of Dynasty Podcasts: I began Dynasty Podcasts in 2005, and since then, have published hundreds of episodes of interviews, panels, workshops, and classes featuring Chicago’s premier artists, industry, tech innovators, and creative professionals. In the second half of 2018, Dynasty is set to publish its 1000th episode. While details on that episode and project won’t be announced until the summer 2018, the current archive of Dynasty episodes can be found on iTunes and SoundCloud.

Expansion Of Dynasty Podcasting Classes: In 2017, I launched a five star rated Podcasting 101 class on Airbnb’s new Experiences platform. In 2018, additional podcasting-related classes are coming, based off requests from attendees of the Podcasting 101 class. Look for announcements and details on how to sign up posting here first quarter 2018.

Speak On Podcating At More Colleges And Businesses: In recent years, I have spoken on podcasting, digital media, and entrepreneurship at colleges and universities like Northwestern, DePaul, Columbia, UIC, Illinois State University, and more. Podcasts of those workshops are hitting Dynasty’s iTunes and SoundCloud first quarter of this year. Student activities groups and businesses/brands looking to book a Dynasty Podcasts workshop focused on entrepreneurship relating to digital media can reach out via the Dynasty Podcasts contact page.

Mentor And Educate More Aspiring Podcasters: An announcement is forthcoming about a project to help inform, connect, and support new, established, and aspiring podcasters. Follow Dynasty Podcasts on Facebook and Twitter for more information posting this month.
