1.8 million years ago the earth entered an ice age, it only ended 11,700 years ago. Additionally between ~1275 and 1850 the earth experienced what is known as the “Little Ice Age” where global temperatures fell. The end of this period is coincidentally around the same time humans began to keep accurate scientific records of temperature. To imply that “humans are entirely the cause” of recent warming is nonsensical on it’s face. The simple facts are that the CO2 hysteria is predicated on the assumption that climate change is bad, which is not necessarily so. A warmer world would be a much wetter world, meaning deserts may not be so dry, and the optimal CO2 level for plant growth is much higher than current levels. Regardless, without a massive global depopulation of humans there is little we can actually do to reduce global CO2 levels.
