How to download putty on a windows computer

Requirements:

1. Windows computer
2. Internet connection

Let’s start!

To download putty on your computer let’s open a browser. Type putty in the address bar and press enter. We need to select the search result from greenend.org.uk

It’s going to bring you to this page click Download it here

Let’s scroll down to Alternative binary files and select which version is compatible with your computer then click the putty.exe hyperlink

When download is complete go to your download folder we should see the putty. Double click to open.

Great work! We only need to download putty once. You can launch it from your computer whenever you need it. You can also pin it to your taskbar to be accessible.
