What is BiblePay?

“A crypto currency with compassion and a conscience.”

BiblePay (BBP)is a deflationary decentralised crypto currency with a simple mission:
“to use the blockchain for good”
Our main activity includes the following:

1. Sponsoring 329 orphans from around the world:
   As of 21th May 2018. The three main charities we support are Compassion international, BLOOM, and CameroonOne. 10% of our coins emission is donated to the needy through charitable giving.
2. Helping to cure cancer and other diseases:
   38% of our daily budget is distributed to community members who solve computational biology problems using BOINC. We focus on projects that help cure diseases such as Cancer and AIDS ( Rosetta@Home, World Community Grid). We call this Proof-of-Distributed-Computing, PoDC.
3. Masternode decentralised governance:
   Our masternodes, named “sanctuaries” went live in December 2017, allowing community proposals and decentralised voting.
4. No premine or ICO:
   Distribution was designed to be as fair as possible.
5. Multiple ways to get BBP tokens:
   Apart from mining and BOINC-ing, you can be rewarded at our faucet, for writing quality letters to our orphans, or you can submit a proposal to do work for BiblePay (development, advertising, etc).
6. ASIC, GPU resistant mining:
   Through a modification of POW to include the King James bible in the source code. This unique algorithm allows profitable mining on regular home computers, and is more energy efficient than many other POW coins.

In addition to the above we have much more to come including plans to port our code to Stratis, the development of e-commerce features, crypto and non-crypto partnerships, financial savings and investment features, website and whitepaper refining, and we recently had our first BiblePay conference (hosted in Ghana).

One final point is that currently approximately 75% of our coins are “locked-in” our masternodes (sanctuaries) or as stake for PoDC mining, which helps to support BiblePay as a long-term investment.
